NipperME - Nipper Made Easy
About NipperME
NipperME or Nipper Made Easy is a GUI written in C#.NET and licensed under the GPLv3.
I found that typing out commands all the time was taking too long. Yeah sure i could make batch
scripts or a configuration file but i preferred a GUI. It also came about because i was trying to
show others what this tool could provide and a GUI tool made this easier.
This tool by no means replaces Nipper at all. In fact without Nipper this tool will not even
work! It just passes command line arguments to Nipper when it launches it as a new process.
Features
- Provides an easy to use GUI.
- Supports 99% of Nipper 0.11.8 features.
- Includes John the Ripper integration allowing you to attempt to brute force your passwords from
your configurations.
- Comes with sample configurations and reports generated from this configurations. Also comes
with the default and a sample CSS file.

Requirements
NipperME requires the following to run:
- .NET Framework 3.5 installed - NipperME is compiled against this as that is the default for
SharpDevelop 3 Beta. Sorry but that is what i use :)
- Nipper.exe - This GUI tool is obviously useless without Nipper! If its not in the current
directory it will prompt you for Nippers location. It will save this until you close the GUI.
- Local installation - This is for the majority of users. Unless you adjust your security
policies
for .NET applications, NipperME will not be allowed to execute from a network drive. This is the
default settings for a .NET application and does not just affect NipperME.
Future
- Remote Configuration Gathering.
- More support for Latex paper sizes and document classes.
- Support for future Nipper versions.
- Dictionary File supplied.
- Help file and tutorial.
- Rewrite of code base to use C++ with wxWidgets.
Source Code
I have released the source code for everyone to look at and help improve. It is license under
the
GPLv3 or at least i have tried to understand the requirements to license under this. Please let me
know if i did it wrong :).
Its provided as a separate download.
The source is provided as is but i will accept any fixes, ideas etc..
Subversion Repository (Currently no code.
Working on that :)
